There are moments when everything that can go wrong certainly will. You take a deep breath and pray that by the time you exhale it was all just be a bad dream. “Why me?” becomes your narrative and you just want to throw your hands up in surrender.
I know. I’ve been there. Like the time I lost everything in my storage unit because I didn’t pay the bill, or the engine dying in my car two weeks after moving to California. Unexpected bills, unexpected plans… we’ve all had our share.
One thing I’ve learned along the way is God has not forgotten about any of us. In the midst of your circumstance, it’s difficult to know that to be true but trust that it is.
Before we are even born, God already knows everything we will face; the good, the bad, and the ugly. It’s a part of His plan to get us where He wants us to be.
Although not always easy, our job is just to have faith that God is going to work everything out. His intention is not to hurt us or make us feel less than. He loves us too much for any of that. He just wants us to lean on Him for absolutely everything – no matter what it is.
God wants us to be steadfast in His word when things are crumbling around us, and even when things are going well. He is the one thing that remains constant.
If you think back, I am sure that you can recall a situation that you just couldn’t see the light of day. Fear and worry kept you awake at night. There was no way out. Before you knew it, God stepped in and worked it out. He had the right people and resources in place to remedy the situation, beyond anything you could have ever dreamed of.
Don’t give up on God, because He will never give up on you. I know things get rough sometimes but trust and have faith. He has not forgotten about you!
