​​Ever since I was a kid, I’ve loved writing. But I never thought I could actually be a professional writer. I didn’t know what that looked like and was always told I needed to have a “good job.” In 2006, I took a leap of faith and submitted a manuscript to a publishing company and three weeks later they offered me a contract.

 

In 2015, I decided to start a blog. My goal was to be consistent – posting at least twice a week. Nearly ten years later, I’ve been able to grow my blog and online presence, use my blog as a resume for numerous writing opportunities, and self-publish three more books. 

 

My poems and articles have been featured in the Sun Times, Military Brat Life, The National Library of Poetry and various on-line publications, including Nia Magazine, Permission to Write, and Resolute Magazine. ​
