Thank you for visiting! I have come to realize that there is no limit to what we can achieve in life as long as God is in the plan! Through the good times, and even the bad, God has a purpose for each of our lives. I have turned my personal experiences into inspiring poetry that teaches life-lessons. I am on a mission to help individuals achieve their best life, and work towards a life of favor and purpose. I challenge you to set forth a plan of self-renewal and receive all that God has for you! THE DIVA The Poetry Diva, Archuleta Chisolm, is the author of Heaven Knows Your Existence, and winner of Kansas City's Urban Best Award 2011 (Best Poet). She is former co-host of the radio talk show A Closer Look on KGGN 890 in Kansas City. A sought-after poet and speaker, she inspires audiences with her signature down-to-earth style to become more of themselves and live with purpose. Archuleta has spoken at numerous church events, women's groups, book clubs, facilitated workshops, and performed poetry for a host of events. Her work has been featured in the The Sun Times, The National Library of Poetry, Kansas City Live, and the on-line magazine The Nubian Chronicles.Encouraged by her grandmother, Archuleta began writing as a child. Following many successful years in an accounting career, Archuleta reached a spiritual turning point to embrace her purpose and fulfill her destiny. Since then, Archuleta has been teaching and writing while reaching diverse audiences and has emerged as a respected poet, author and speaker. She addresses real-life issues with humor and interaction to engage the audience. Archuleta draws on her personal experiences to create presentations with high-impact and valuable points. Archuleta will be releasing a spoken word cd, Poetic Theory, Volume I, in Summer 2012. This project will include some of her most expressive work, coupled with the musical genius of Icyroc, Kansas City's powerhouse producer. Her next poetry book, Joy Comes in the Morning, is set to release in Spring 2012. Now lay down your weapon!!Then I will prevail in the shade, the warrior resoundedThe warrior, unable to be taunted or tamed, maintained his faithOvercome by the light from Heaven, he goes wildHis tenacity is frightening to the worst of his enemiesThe devil is forced to maintain his distanceThe warriors mind, body, and spirit are etched in the Book of LifeHis name is sealed forever on the pages with fierce warriors before himThe devil is defeated and has no power unless the warrior gives it to himHowever, he would never give him the satisfactionBy choice his voice was lifted above these usual movements and forcesMere mortals do not understand his giftHe decided to serve the One that gives life and sustains itThe devil, taken by surprise, cowardly tries once moreI shall shake the ground you walk upon and even the score.With fortitude in the warriors spirit and strength in his tone, he respondsI fear NO ONE, and so it is done.
